Ukiyo was designed for an intimate house engagement, a casual pre-wedding celebration with a playful Asian-inspired direction. Created for an artistic and humorous client, the styling brought together bamboo, orchids, sculptural leaves, textured plates, and soft table lamps to form a warm and personal dining atmosphere. It was a small celebration, but full of character, charm, and thoughtful details.

Ukiyo was created for an intimate house engagement, a casual pre-wedding celebration filled with personality, humor, and artistic charm. The client, a designer herself, had a very clear and playful spirit, which made the process feel less like a formal event and more like building a small world around her story.

The direction was fun, light, and deeply personal, with Asian-inspired elements woven throughout the setting. Bamboo details, sculptural leaves, orchids, soft florals, textured plates, and small table lamps came together to create a warm dining experience that felt relaxed yet thoughtfully styled. Nothing was meant to feel too staged. The beauty was in the intimacy, the colors, the handmade feeling, and the little unexpected details.

This project became a celebration of character and closeness. A small engagement gathering transformed into a playful, poetic, and highly personal pre-wedding moment, where every detail reflected the client’s artistic energy and the joy of celebrating love at home.
